| Bio: | The depths of the valleys wellcome to a town of no hills, I walk up and down and back again. Yesterday I walked across the bridge and it was good to clear my head but wasser called me a nucklehead for going all that way on foot, and oh the feet do hurt. I came home and stared at the wall like after chinese, and it's a thristday, but there is no thirstqueen in sight. Ah, the drunkard without a home. Ah, the quarters left unspend. Ah, the rusty dart game. Ah, my foes, and oh my friends, it casts a lovely light.
To the clearing of the head: the shady housemates say I am in News shock, and I don't feel depressed of it all, but the writing goes slower than usual, and the days lay longer on the soul. Wallis says only the cynics and the saints see the world for truth, and Merton reminds that the only thing to sainthood is the desire to be one, but lord knows I have not the vocation for it and every day peer over my shoulder, checking for whales. We do what we can, but oh, and it's so not enough.
The best of humanity handed out on a silver platter, the worst of it with their silver foot in their mouths. I knew a girl in Montreal, stayed with her briefly, the quietest of New Yorkers. She left publishing, it was making her too thick skinned; reject the cynicism saint-heart, don't let anything interfere with your ability to get hurt, the lessons of the past relearned. And I've seen the worst of everyday man, your poor will allways be with you because you refuse to sit at their table. It was to make me stronger, I cannot see the whale for all its innards block my view. What you can't do for money you do the best you can for time, or at least what you can for hope. Saint. All you feel like doing, it wears me down. None of this makes me any stronger.
To the politicians I can say nothing, no longer knowing even which way the wind blows. They seem to have bought an air machine, and now think to control the weather. Stewart reminds us that this is an act of god; your wind machine makes me sick, but at least you can fly in the breeze of it all. I've seen all the good people turn their heads. 'Cause it's time. Your think skin makes me cry. My box has poison tenticles for your soul.
